I started sewing at my grandmother's knee on her treadle machine. She taught me to sew, crochet, embroider, quilt and run a household. I started quilting seriously when my kids were born. I love casual applique, samplers and hand quilting.
This is lovely, Carolyn. I've always wanted to make a 30s style butterfly quilt and making it liberated is a great idea. I don't do much string piecing but I might try string pieced butterfly wings. See you at LibQuilters group. Kathleen in CT

I love your butterfly quilt. It must be the season for butterfly quilts as I have just finished mine.
